Cancellation Policy

At Tanu Travels, we understand that travel plans may change. This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the rules, charges, and conditions related to booking cancellations and refunds. By making a booking with us, you agree to the following terms:


1. Administrative Fees

  • An administrative/service fee may apply for processing cancellations.

  • This fee is non-refundable and will be deducted from any refund amount.


2. Third-Party Supplier Terms

  • If your booking involves services from airlines, hotels, cruises, or other operators, their individual cancellation policies will apply in addition to Tanu Travels’ policy.

  • Refund amounts may be reduced further depending on those suppliers’ terms and conditions.


3. Refund Percentages Based on Cancellation Time

a) Round Trip Cancellation Charges

  • Before 24 Hours: Full refund minus administrative fees.

  • Before 12 Hours: Partial refund (50% of the booking amount).

  • Before 3 Hours: No refund.

b) One-Way Trip Cancellation Charges

  • Before 3 Hours: Full refund (no charges).

  • Before 2 Hours: 20% charge of the booking amount.

  • Before 1 Hour: 50% charge of the booking amount.

  • Before 59 Minutes: 80% charge of the booking amount.


4. Peak Season Restrictions

  • During peak travel seasons (such as public holidays, festivals, or special events), cancellations may be:

    • Non-refundable, or

    • Subject to stricter terms with reduced refund eligibility.


5. Unforeseen Circumstances

  • Tanu Travels is not responsible for losses, delays, or additional expenses caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to:

    • Natural hazards (floods, landslides, storms, etc.)

    • Flight or train cancellations

    • Political disturbances, strikes, or government restrictions

    • Accidents or sudden road closures

  • In such cases, refunds may not be possible, or only partial refunds may apply depending on circumstances.


6. Refund Process

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days through the original payment method.

  • Any deductions (administrative charges, supplier charges, cancellation penalties) will be reflected in the final refund amount.
